Trail Walks

Trail Walks

Trail Walks are by appointment only, offered Monday through Friday, weather permitting, and subject to availability. If you haven’t used our service yet, a free meet and greet must be scheduled before the trail walk service begins. Please fill out the REQUEST PET CARE form. The link is provided at the bottom of this page to start the onboarding process.

Pick up times will change with the seasons:

  • Spring     9am - 3pm

  • Summer  8am - 10am

  • Autumn   9am - 3pm

  • Winter     11am - 3pm

One dog per dog walker. If you have 2 dogs, you’ll have 2 dog walkers, we do not take 3+ dogs.

Cost ranges: $45-$80 (one dog walker vs. two dog walkers). Payment is always due at the time of pick up.

We spend 1-hour on the trail. The travel time to and from the trail is in addition to our trail time (i.e., if your dog is picked up at 1pm, your dog should be home by 2:45/3pm).

Trails may include but are not limited to:

  • Pyramid Mountain

  • Tourne Park

  • The Boulevard path

  • Turkey Mountain/Valhalla Glen

  • RVA Fields path

Trail Walk Service Area: we will pick up dogs from: Montville, Towaco, Pinebrook, Mountain Lakes, Boonton, Boonton Twp., parts of Lincoln Park, and parts of Kinnelon.

We strongly suggest dog wears a harness, in addition to the requirement of wearing collar with ID tags.

Dog must be up-to-date on rabies vaccine.

Dog must be well behaved on leash: no excessive pulling, no aggression, not dog/leash reactive in an aggressive way, dog must want to walk, dog must be physically able to withstand walking 1hr on uneven territory.

Cancelation Fee: $15 fee if the walk is canceled the day of the scheduled pick up; regardless of the reason. To be paid immediately.

We supply: Poop bags, Safety clip for collar-harness, seatbelt, car seat cover, bottled water, water bowl, pet safe wet wipes, treat pouch bag - you supply treats if you want them given at any time.

We will always wipe paws before returning home.

We always reduce risk; there is no contact with other dogs or people.

The dog is always on leash.

We do not allow dogs to bathe in or drink from trail puddles, ponds, or streams.

You don’t have to be home for pick up or drop off, as long as we have access to your home and our payment, in full, is left at time of pick up.

Aubrey Scala (owner, pet sitter, dog walker) and Shelly Moore (avid hiker, dog walker, pet sitter, clinical Herbalist, and Jin Shin Jyustu Practitioner) will be the only team members that handle dogs for this featured service. Both Aubrey and Shelly are able to assess and gain control over sticky situation’s that might arise on a trail. Both walkers are certified in emergency first aid and CPR.

If you have not yet met Aubrey’s Ark, you will need to schedule a free meet and greet prior to the trail walk service. Please click the REQUEST PET CARE button below.
